Финансирование выборов и политическая коррупция: по-прежнему не всё в порядке в Датском королевстве
The paper provides an overview of the theoretical framework of institutional corruption, established by Thompson and Lessig, with reference to the works of Miller on Causal Theory of Institutional Corruption; it provides a summary of the phenomena of institutional and political corruption in Denmark, from academic perspective (primarily through the work of Power); and from the perspective of international organizations as standard setters (through GRECO’s Third and Fourth Evaluation Rounds of Denmark). The case study of Denmark’s political corruption shows the limitations of the value add of the peerreviews of international organizations and the possibility of such peer-reviews to influence substantive change in relation to policies and practices of corruption, especially in relation to countries with very low perception of corruption, which in turn may undermine the overall legitimacy and purpose of the peer reviews.
