How to Assess Students Knowledge in the Age of AI
A researcher at HSE University has proposed a flowchart to help lecturers decide how to assess students who use artificial intelligence. It shows where the use of AI should be restricted and where it can be incorporated into the learning process. The article has been published in IT Professional.

‘Balkan Hospitality Opens Doors: Studying Dialects on the Verge of Extinction
You cannot study spoken dialects from books. Instead, you need to go to a village, seek out its elders, and earn the trust of local residents before you can record hours of spontaneous stories. This is how Natalia Muravleva, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, conducts her research. Her internship in Serbia continued her long-standing study of dialects spoken by Macedonian settlers. In this interview, she discusses how diaspora cultural centres help researchers reach informants, why native speakers need to be interviewed only in their own language (otherwise, as she puts it, they may 'break'), and how a single field season helped her finalise her monograph. She also shares warm memories of autumn in Belgrade and of colleagues with whom grammar can be discussed in three languages at once.

Scientists Train Neural Network to Generate Process Plans from 3D Models
Researchers at the HSE FCS AI and Digital Science Institute have developed CAD2TechSpec, a framework that converts 3D models of mechanical parts into machining process plans—step-by-step instructions for machine tools. The solution aims to reduce the time required for the design and preparation of technical process documentation in mechanical engineering, aircraft manufacturing, and other high-tech industries. The study findings have been published in PeerJ Computer Science.

Problems and Negative Consequences of the Digitalization of Medicine

P. 445–455.
Куранов В. Г., Mirskikh I., Mingaleva Z., Dobrovlyanina O.

Digital technologies are widespread and used in various fields and areas of healthcare. The undoubted advantages associated with the possibility of remote access to many medical services have led to the rapid spread of digital medicine. However, the diverse use of digital technologies in medicine is accompanied by a number of negative factors. Some of them can cause serious harm to the life and health of people, as well as cause significant damage for the society. The paper is devoted to the identification of problems and shortcomings in the provision of medical services using digital technologies. Based on the methods of bibliographic, content, formal and legal analysis, the main negative consequences of the use of digital technologies in the field of medicine are revealed and the solutions are suggested. The paper identifies potential and real opportunities for committing crimes in the field of medicine with the help of digital technologies, and gives their classification. Special emphasis is made on the contradictory consequences of the widespread use of telemedicine. It is concluded that the use of telemedicine is associated with many negative and dangerous social consequences. Recommendations for improving the Russian legislation in the field of telemedicine regulation and digitalization of the healthcare system as a whole are formulated.

Age-related decline in motor control, manifesting as impaired posture, gait, and slowed movement execution, significantly diminishes the quality of life in older adults. These functional deficits are associated with alterations in neurophysiological data, which are analyzed using advanced techniques including spectral analysis, complexity measures, and functional connectivity network analysis. These methodologies provide valuable insights into ...
