Moving to the cloud is one such business process enabling Big Data. Cloud enables to process Big Data paying only for the time. This makes Big Data processing cost-effective in terms of both operational expenses (OpEx) and capital expenses (CapEx).

ICIS 2016 SIG on BDA Proceedings include innovative techniques that companies use in business processes to deal with the growing demands of Big Data.

IEEE, 2021.

This special conference starts the new series, and therefore, it launches a tradition to follow, and an opportunity for a rapid spin up. This ICCQ conference was organized by the HSE and leading IT innovative companies such Huawei and Yandex. The ICCQ 2021 attracted a number of renowned experts including Jens Palsberg, Anders Møller, and David West. The papers were submitted from the world over. The conference attracted speakers and attendees from the USA, Europe, and Asia; therefore, this is truly an international event. Although ICCQ started as a relatively small single-day conference, it immediately gained the IEEE support. The plan for the next years is to embrace the world while keeping high quality standards.

Vol. 1163. Bristol: IOP Publishing, 2019.

This volume collects the referred papers based on plenary, invited, and oral talks, as well on the posters presented at the Third International Conference on Computer Simulations in Physics and beyond (CSP2018), which took place September 24-27, 2018 in Moscow. The Conference continues the tradition started by an inaugural conference in 2015. It took place on the campus of A.N. Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics in Strogino, was jointly organized by the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics and Science Center in Chernogolovka.

The Conference is a multidisciplinary meeting, with a focus on computational physics and related subjects. Indeed, methods of computational physics prove useful in a broad spectrum of research in multiple branches of natural sciences, and this volume provides a sample.

We hope that this volume will interest readers, and we are already looking forward to the next conference in the series.

Vol. 1592. Torun: CEUR Workshop Proceedings, 2016.

The The workshop first took place in 2015 as a succession of the Applications of Region Theory (ART) workshop series. After the success of the initial workshop, it is only natural to bring together researchers working on region-based synthesis and process mining again. The ATAED'2016 workshop took place in Torun on June 20-21, 2016 and was a satellite event of both the 37th International Conference on Application and Theory of Petri Nets and Concurrency (Petri Nets 2016) and the 16th International Conference on Application of Concurrency to System Design (ACSD 2016). Papers related to process mining, region theory and other synthesis techniques were presented at ATAED'2016.

Horst R., Pardalos P. M., Van Thoai N. Amsterdam: Springer, 2000.

Most of the existing books on optimization focus on the problem of computing locally optimal solutions. Global optimization is concerned with the computation and characterization of global optima of nonlinear functions. Global optimization problems are widespread in the mathematical modeling of real world systems for a very broad range of applications. During the past three decades many new theoretical, algorithmic, and computational contributions have helped to solve globally multi-extreme problems arising from important practical applications. Introduction to Global Optimization is the first comprehensive textbook that covers the fundamentals in global optimization. The second edition includes algorithms, applications, and complexity results for quadratic programming, concave minimization, DC and Lipshitz problems, decomposition algorithms for nonconvex optimization, and nonlinear network flow problems. Each chapter contains illustrative examples and ends with carefully selected exercises, which are designed to help the student to get a grasp of the material and enhance their knowledge of global optimization methods. Audience: This textbook is addressed not only to students of mathematical programming, but to all scientists in various disciplines who need global optimization methods to model and solve problems.

The article suggests the integration of a neural network as a parallel element base in a telecommunication system. In this case, the ability to learn or adapt to external conditions is applied as the main advantage. For telecommunication systems in conditions when it is possible, this ability will improve noise immunity, reliability, operability, etc. The article considers an example of the integration of a neural network into a discrete matched signal filter. It is noted that the use of parallel mathematical methods in signal processing leads to the maximum effect of increasing the quality parameters of such telecommunication elements

This book focuses on crisis management in software development which includes forecasting, responding and adaptive engineering models, methods, patterns and practices. It helps the stakeholders in understanding and identifying the key technology, business and human factors that may result in a software production crisis. These factors are particularly important for the enterprise-scale applications, typically considered very complex in managerial and technological aspects and therefore, specifically addressed by the discipline of software engineering. Therefore, this book throws light on the crisis responsive, resilient methodologies and practices; therewith, it also focuses on their evolutionary changes and the resulting benefits.

The main aim of this KES conference series is to provide an internationally respected forum for the dissemination of research results and the discussion of issues relating to the theory, technologies and applications of intelligent engineering and information systems. This truly international conference attracted submissions from a substantial number of researchers and practitioners from all over the world, who submitted their papers to three general tracks, one thematic track and 34 special sessions on specific topics. A large number of submissions was received and each paper was peer reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee. From them, 274 high-quality papers were accepted for oral presentation and publication in Procedia Computer Science, submitted for indexing in Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and Scopus. The conference chairs would like to express their gratitude to the Keynote Speakers: Prof Dana Barry, Clarkson University, USA, title of talk: 'STEM and ICT Education in Intelligent Environments'; Dr Carlos Toro, ARTC (Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre) - A*Star, Singapore, title of talk: 'Smart Manufacturing coming of age'; Prof Katsutoshi Yada, Kansai University, Japan, title of talk: 'Sensor Marketing and Data Mining'; Prof Cecilia Zanni-Merk, INSA Rouen Normandie / LITIS Laboratory, France, title of talk 'On the need of an Explainable Artificial Intelligence'; and Prof Sergey Zykov, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Russia, title of talk: 'IT Crisisology: the New Discipline for Managing Software Development in Crisis'.
