The new monograph, prepared by the Israeli, Russian, American, and German researchers is dedicated to the various aspects of the Russian Empire’s Jews’ life. It is the second part of the series History of the Jewish People in Russia and covers the period from the first partition of Poland in 1772 to the February revolution of 1971.
The chapter examines Russian Jews’ participation in Russian political parties as a consequence of their integration into Russian society, and the role of the Jews in various political parties in late XIX – early XX centuries, from social-democrats to cadets.
