Межкультурное пространство: лингвистический и дидактический аспекты. Часть 1. Пленарное заседание и секция «Межкультурная дидактика»
Abstract. The paper presents the history of the broadly discussed term data-driven learning along with naming its most important proponents in the field of second language acquisition, and focuses, first, on the ways this approach can be applied in learning new languages independently and by foreign language instructors, and, second, on how corpora become of use in linguistic studies. A few examples of automated assistance tools created on the basis of language corpora are brought in accompanied with illustrations. The purpose of using those assistants is either to get help with information necessary to come up with written or oral production in a foreign language (e. g. lexical information), or to have one’s errors in this production identified.
