This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Intelligent Data Processing, IDP 2016, held in Barcelona, Spain, in October 2016.
The 11 revised full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 52 submissions. The papers of this volume are organized in topical sections on machine learning theory with applications; intelligent data processing in life and social sciences; morphological and technological approaches to image analysis.
There are many different methods for computing relevant patterns in sequential data and interpreting the results. In this paper, we compute emerging patterns (EP) in demographic sequences using sequence-based pattern structures, along with different algorithmic solutions. The purpose of this method is to meet the following domain requirement: the obtained patterns must be (closed) frequent contiguous prefixes of the input sequences. This is required in order for demographers to fully understand and interpret the results.

The article is devoted to the history and problems of creating interfaces. Shows the complexity and importance of effective interfaces, noted that this problem is a system of multilevel interdisciplinary. The new systems should be given serious attention to issues of human efficiency level. Man is still the leading element in determining the efficiency of any ergatic system. The main means of control in ergatic systems including computers, is the graphic manipulator (GM), with which to control the on-screen controls. Are the main styles of user interface. The most popular are GUI-interface (GUI - GraphicalUserInterface) and based on them WUI-interface (WUI-WebUserInterface). The development of equipment and technology of computer modeling led to the active introduction of virtual reality technology to ensure the inclusion of people in artificial worlds. Their main feature - full control of all the parameters of the development and the emergence of a sense of presence in people who live in these environments, which are called immersive. Technology induced environments allow a number of new, not generally applicable to the present, of interfaces using specially engineered virtual environments. Much attention is paid to creating the most advanced systems - systems contact management, which are the camera and sophisticated software. The drawbacks of modern non-contact control. Is being developed to create a contactless intelligent interface, which will allow: to control with data from a video camera, which is installed on your computer have a high noise immunity, clearly identify the user to recognize the situational environment, have an acceptable cost.
The volume contains the abstracts of the 12th International Conference "Intelligent Data Processing: Theory and Applications". The conference is organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Federal Research Center "Informatics and Control" of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Scientific and Coordination Center "Digital Methods of Data Mining". The conference has being held biennially since 1989. It is one of the most recognizable scientific forums on data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, image analysis, signal processing, and discrete analysis. The Organizing Committee of IDP-2018 is grateful to Forecsys Co. and CFRS Co. for providing assistance in the conference preparation and execution. The conference is funded by RFBR, grant 18-07-20075. The conference website http://mmro.ru/en/.
Pattern structures, an extension of FCA to data with complex descriptions, propose an alternative to conceptual scaling (binarization) by giving direct way to knowledge discovery in complex data such as logical formulas, graphs, strings, tuples of numerical intervals, etc. Whereas the approach to classification with pattern structures based on preceding generation of classifiers can lead to double exponent complexity, the combination of lazy evaluation with projection approximations of initial data, randomization and parallelization, results in reduction of algorithmic complexity to low degree polynomial, and thus is feasible for big data.
A new computer architecture named object-attribute is offered in the article. Computer of the architecture have all necessary properties for Artificial Intelligence: abstraction of data and program, height concurrency, isomorphism of data and program (i.e. possibility of painless changing of program and data structures), training and self-training of computer system, dataflow, integration of data and program, generation of object description from simple description to complex description, implementation of distribute computer system.

Companies are increasingly paying close attention to the IP portfolio, which is a key competitive advantage, so patents and patent applications, as well as analysis and identification of future trends, become one of the important and strategic components of a business strategy. We argue that the problems of identifying and predicting trends or entities, as well as the search for technical features, can be solved with the help of easily accessible Big Data technologies, machine learning and predictive analytics, thereby offering an effective plan for development and progress. The purpose of this study is twofold, the first is an identification of technological trends, the second is an identification of application areas and/or that are most promising in terms of technology development and investment. The research was based on methods of clustering, processing of large text files and search queries in patent databases. The suggested approach is considered on the basis of experimental data in the field of moving connected UAVs and passive acoustic ecology control.
The article is dedicated to the analysis of Big Data perspective in jurisprudence. It is proved that Big Data have to be used as the explanatory and predictable tool. The author describes issues concerning Big Data application in legal research. The problems are technical (data access, technical imperfections, data verification) and informative (interpretation of data and correlations). It is concluded that there is the necessity to enhance Big Data investigations taking into account the abovementioned limits.

We consider certain spaces of functions on the circle, which naturally appear in harmonic analysis, and superposition operators on these spaces. We study the following question: which functions have the property that each their superposition with a homeomorphism of the circle belongs to a given space? We also study the multidimensional case.
We consider the spaces of functions on the m-dimensional torus, whose Fourier transform is p -summable. We obtain estimates for the norms of the exponential functions deformed by a C1 -smooth phase. The results generalize to the multidimensional case the one-dimensional results obtained by the author earlier in “Quantitative estimates in the Beurling—Helson theorem”, Sbornik: Mathematics, 201:12 (2010), 1811 – 1836.

This proceedings publication is a compilation of selected contributions from the “Third International Conference on the Dynamics of Information Systems” which took place at the University of Florida, Gainesville, February 16–18, 2011. The purpose of this conference was to bring together scientists and engineers from industry, government, and academia in order to exchange new discoveries and results in a broad range of topics relevant to the theory and practice of dynamics of information systems. Dynamics of Information Systems: Mathematical Foundation presents state-of-the art research and is intended for graduate students and researchers interested in some of the most recent discoveries in information theory and dynamical systems. Scientists in other disciplines may also benefit from the applications of new developments to their own area of study.
