The purpose of this monograph to comprehend generation of a contradiction between rapid development of business, its penetration into all spheres of life and expectations of society and also to record this contradiction, to track genesis of its deepening and aggravation in various cultures and confessional environments. The picture of the relations of business and society which developed by today in domestic practice is presented in the edition and need to change sense and a form of these relations, i.e. to carry out valuable reorientation of business is reasoned.
n the 4th chapter of the monograph the aspects of the Russian Orthodoxy influencing formation in historical development of business culture and business ethics of the Russian businessmen prior to the beginning of the 20th century come to light. It is about influence of various branches of Orthodoxy on evolution of labor ethics, perception of profitable managing and the relation to property. The innovation of the conservatives who were carrying out synthesis of traditions of an orthodox civilization and post-traditional society had bigger distribution and, at a certain stage, efficiency, than the state efforts substantially based on mechanical introduction of the borrowed examples of economic culture and restriction of ideological development of the orthodox doctrine is considerable.
