Proofs of need of presence of the crewing companies at logistic business are provided in article, and the role of these companies in the course of rational use of a manpower of shipping companies is determined. Special attention is paid to disclosure of functions of a crewing. The competitive advantages of shipowners got in result of their interaction with the crewing companies are briefly described.
The article deals with the application of information technology in the calculation of fuel consumption rates for the operation of vehicles in supply chains. It is shown that as a result, the labor intensity of operations performed by the dispatching personnel is reduced. The validity of the norms is increasing, which ultimately leads to a decrease in logistics costs.

The article presents approach that implements the technology of forming the knowledge base of an intelligent system for designing automated control systems for transport and logistics systems. The structure of an intelligent system for the develop-ment of such automated control systems is represented and a description of its key elements is given. It is noted that to build the knowledge base, it is necessary to use the basic technology of its creation.
In the course of this article, the necessity of planning the development of a regional transport infrastructure based on an analysis of the influence of existing infrastructure capacities on the socio-economic situation of the region. The list of indicators most objectively reflecting both the result of the economic activities of the subject of the Russian Federation and the current state of the transport infrastructure was determined, and a correlation analysis of the mutual influence of these indicators was carried out.
