The paper analyses a problem of application of the system approach and the lifecycle approach in systems engineering. Evaluation of the main concepts of these two approaches in systems engineering practice is considered in the connection to complex technical systems development. As a result presented a competence framework for the systems engineer position in the Russian Nuclear industry.
The complexity of the systems, facilities operation and maintenance, is constantly increasing: the systems included new hardware, system software, the intensity of use of the systems increases. This significantly increases the number of events occurring and recorded in the system, a more complex analysis of situations and emerging diagnostics ENM.
Testing is the main reliable method for assessing software quality from the perspective of end users. It cannot be replaced by any of other methods of quality control. An important feature of the testing of application software for complex automated systems under operation and maintenance, is fully verified at significant limitation of the duration of the test. The relevant task is the development of scientifically-based methodology for planning of testing on the CEA stage support throughout the life cycle of complex automated systems.

The use of Big Data technologies is primarily associated with the recent increase in the number available for analysis. Big Data technologies allow you to capture, process and analyze large volumes of available open access data.
