Frontiers in Comparative Metrics 2. In memoriam Lucyllae Pszczolowskae
This is the collection of abstracts of the International Conference "Frontiers in Comparative Metrics 2", which took place in Tallinn in April 2014.
The syllabo-tonic reform in Northern European verse, which involved England, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden played a large role in the history of European poetry. If in the 17th century Russian poetry lagged behind the evolution of European literature and to a substantial degree underwent the influence of Polish literature, its neighbour in the 18th century, the picture changed sharply. The fact that Russia had joined itself to the cultural heart of Northern Europe stimulated the transformation of its literature.
