Analysis essay Khodasevich "The end of Renata"
The article analyses Boris Egorov's book "a lie in a Russian culture". It deals with a concept of lie as an essential part of human culture. Lie is an essential part of any text that has more than one interpretation. The article analysis the relevance of positive and negative functions of lie as a cultural phenomenon.
The article discusses a special case of ambiguity in official documents, where information can be acquired only in reference to additional resources: the status of the name given (surname? patronymic? the indication of the place where the person lived?). Materials considered are memoirs of D.Zhuravlev (1910-1979), describing the history of Scopin priest family (19th-early 20th).
