This article describes optimization of a multimodal passenger traffic system. The optimization method used is simulation modeling. The service level indicators, costs and financial indicators when changing configurations of the system are analyzed.
The experience of the reading of course of lectures «Transportation systems of big cities» in the Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism of Higher School of Economics (National Research University, Moscow) is expounded. It includes the lectures, test of 74 questions, individual student’s presentation of transport system of one big city.
In this article there is a proposition of the methodical approach to the formation of regional system of trunk (international and longdistance) cargo automobile transportations with the engaging with the small automobile companies by using principles of transportation logistics, self-regulation, a mutual insurance and riskmanagement.
Review on the directory book «Jane’s Urban Transport Systems 2017-2018», published in the United Kingdom. The book consists of three parts: introduction, informative description of each transit system of 340 world’s cities, the producer list of rolling stock and equipment for urban transportation.
