By defining the structure of thought and psyche content it has been indicated that the consciousness is the functional element of the psyche actualized by a subject to organize its life activity. The thought with its operations is considered as the mechanism of consciousness. It has been argued that the reflection is put on the thinking and there is no reason to consider it separately from thought. In keeping with this argumentation it has shown that all cognitive processes could be divided into two categories: the processes that support the mental activity and the processes that acts as the mechanisms of that support. The relation between the thought, image and word is addressed to discussion. The role of psychic functions in thought generation and the structure of thought and image are revealed. It is found that the thinking is the process of thoughts’ generation and their usage in task-solving. In keeping with this premise the mind is characterized by the ability of thought generation. Thus, the new ways in mind and intelligence diagnostics would be prospectively defined
The article reveals the genesis of the concept of «individuality». Also provides a description of the essential qualities, given their correlation with the personal qualities of the Big Five. We introduce three methodological principle of personality description, an example of identity based on the basic qualities.
The article represents the results of the analysis of different types of perception, its indexes of key properties and indexes of its efficiency. It has been shown that in perception the subjective image of an outer world is closely related to subject’s motivation and experience. A new approach is offered to understand the thought as a need-emotion-intentional instance. Based on that approach it is shown that the image is also a substance of thoughts. In keeping with this premise the transformation of the image-substance is exposed and the understanding of a word as its transformation to subjective image-substance. The relationship between the image and word is discussed in cultural and historical aspects. The science is analyzed as symbolic description of realm where the image and word are related to each other by thought.
This article deals with the understanding of conscience as an internal point of reference in the process of self-determination of the person. On the basis of the historical and cultural analysis and representations of modern existential psychology it is shown that not only retrospectively-reproaching and prospektively-warning functions of conscience may be allocated, but also the function consisting in participation of conscience in forming strategy of concrete acts. The understanding of a voice of conscience as sounding on a decision-making stage has allowed to offer methodical steps for a finding an authentic position which can be used in psychological consultation and everyday life.
Ways of achieving and integration of personological knowledge about oppositions as a phenomenon of individual life and methods of its cognition are developed. Mythology, literature, philosophy, theoretical and experimental psychology are given as sources of hermeneutical research. Phenomenon of oppositions is described as the ontological and cultural universalia: objective, linguistic, semantic, psychic one. Various facets of personal relationships with oppositions belonging to different «areas» of human life are revealed. The models of constructive and destructive genesis of oppositions between consciousness and unconsciousness, which are explicated from the theory of personality types by C. G. Jung, are presented.
The article is focusing on the problem of vocational self-determination in the field of information technology. The model factors that influence the process of professional self-determination is described. The results of the empirical research of the students vocational self-determination in the IT-vocations are analyzed.
The article reflects upon the ‘look’ phenomenon in the context of new personology (V.A. Petrovsky, E.B. Starovoytenko). It reveals that the look expresses an attitude of the Other and his/her presence in one’s inner world. Using the works of J.-P. Sartre, V.A. Petrovsky, M.M. Bakhtin, E.B. Starovoytenko, A. Laengle, M. White, the ‘loving’ and the ‘destructive look’ were reconstructed and described in terms of personal agency. The ways to expand one’s personal agency in the situations of ‘being-looked’ (Sartre) are outlined.

The article discusses the main approaches to the study of gender identity, its structure and the process of formation. Integrating traditional ideas in this field, which were mainly of social and psychological origin, modern views that consider gender identity wider than within the binary system, with theoretical ideas in the field of deep psychology of personality, the authors formulate a model of personal and shadow aspects of gender identity. This model allows us to formulate a number of heuristic hypotheses regarding the rapidly differentiating diversity of gender differences.
The article is devoted to the book as an opportunity for hermeneutics of a person. Personal relation towards life oppositions becomes the subject of hermeneutic search. Study of this relation is perfomed on the edge of the paradigm of life and personal relations and the cultural paradigm in personology (Starovoitenko E.B.). Examples of hermeneutics of personal relation towards life oppositions, based on the material of books on psychology (S.L.Rubinshtein, E.B.Starovoitenko), Russian classical (F.M.Dostoevsky) and ancient Egypt literature, are provided. This hermeneutic experience is possible due to a number of other books, which has become cultural and scientific instrument for reading the books mentioned above. As a result of hermeneutic study, ontological, cultural-genetic, reflexive and existential-phenomenological models of life oppositions and personal relations towards them are built
The author studies the issue of synthesis of different theories and methods used by personality self-attitude studies. The theories and methods discussed are developed within the framework of different philosophical, psychological and humanitarian sciences. The issue of self-attitude personology development based on such synthesis is brought up. Presented personological model of self-attitude is explicated from the texts by Michel Foucault and unites trans$cultural ideas of individual self-attitude. The above ideas are studied as a cultural potential of psychological studies and practice of self-attitude by a modern personality.
The dynamics of views on human development is considered from the points of primitive human being development, infant and schoolchild development. The originality of views on development is reviewed as process of signification. It is emphasized that infant development concerns the internal mechanisms of mental activity formation and the acquisition of these mechanisms. The ability developmental process is addressed to intellectual operations acquisition that the schoolchildren acquire through the learning activity. The experimental data confirming the effectiveness of considered approach to mental development are given.
