In the article it is examined the key approaches to the management of educational systems within modernization of education in Russia. This article shows the essence of processes, defining the methodology for socio-cultural modernization of education in Russia. The main feature of these processes is their nonlinearity. Socio-cultural modernization, in the author's opinion, can provide irreversibility of the positive changes in education, if it would be promoted the growth of its nonlinearity. At the same time nonlinear processes are reasonable to consider through network interaction of living systems (educational and others). The last condition is emphasized as necessary for concordance of values and for harmonization of relations between society and education.
