On September 24, 2020, the European Commission presented proposals aimed at regulating the single market for crypto-assets in the European Union. The whole complex of proposals, as well as their detailed description, made up a document called “Regulation on Markets in Crypto-assets”. The European Union today is one of the most visible global actors seeking to regulate the cryptocurrency market, and the public presentation of this regulation seems very timely. The author conducts a brief analysis of the named document, focusing, in his opinion, on the most important provisions of the regulations. In conclusion, the author makes a number of conclusions corresponding to the study.
