Переводческий хронотоп как отражение переводческой картины мира
The article considers the category of the translation chronotope as a space-time continuum. In its frames there is a synergy of space and time senses, which leads to generating a harmonic target text able to integrate into the host culture and enrich it. Introduction of such categories as translation space and translation time into the scientific use contributed to the idea of the translation chronotope in order to investigate the translation process when languages and cultures interact. The article introduces and describes operation of the translation chronotope model in the process of interacting the monochronic discourse of the original English-language culture and the polichronic discourse of the Russian-language host culture. The process requires the temporal conversion named as etnolinguistic-cultural adaptation. It turns possible when considered through the prism of the translation chronotope.
