The study addresses the issue of cross-cultural dialogue in art on the example of chinoiserie or Chinese style, as French encyclopedias of the first half of the 19th century began to call this symbiosis of European and Chinese art. The author focuses on the history of chinoiserie in the castles of the Radzivill princes in the 18th century. in Belarus. The basis of analytics is an album of sketches of furniture, ceramics, weapons, prepared by the court artist Fischer in the 1730s. and a cycle of paintings in the halls of the treasury of the Nesvizh castle.
