This article deals with problems the collection and reimbursement of legal costs when representing clients in the arbitrazh courts by the major Russian and foreign law firms. The author of the article provides an analysis of the provisions of the current legislation, clarifications of the highest courts and law enforcement practice regarding the procedure for proving the incurred legal costs. The article raises the question of proving the justification of legal costs, and also considers whether the right to recover legal costs can be assigned as a payment for legal services. In addition, the author examines specifics of structuring legal fees when representing interests of the clients in international disputes and analyses the possibility of reimbursing such legal costs within the framework of the current procedural legislation.
