The complexity of realization of k-valued logic functions by circuits in a special infinite basis is invesigated. This basis consists of Post negation (i.e. function x+1(mod k)) and all monotone functions. The complexity of the circuit is the total number of elements of this circuit. The upper and the lower bounds of the complexity were obtained for an arbitrary function f, the difference between these bounds does not exceed 1.This complexity is 3log3 (d(f)+1) +O(1), here d(f) is the maximum number of the value decrease over all increasing chains of tuples of variable values for the function f. The exact values of Shannon funciton that characterize the maximal complexity of functions with n variables was established.

Improving image quality is becoming an increasingly popular task, especially when working with mobile devices. One common approach to image enhancement is the use of convolutional neural networks. However, to achieve good results, such networks must be large enough, otherwise there is a risk of unwanted artifacts. In addition, large convolutional neural networks require significant ...

Interval Pattern Structures (IPS) provide a natural way to represent local, human-readable explanations for predictions on numerical data through vectors of intervals interpreted as axis-parallel hyper-rectangles. In this paper, we develop and evaluate an IPS-based k-nearest neighbors classifier, IPS-KNN, that explains each prediction through a single local interval description rather than through the aggregation of ...

This paper presents a novel approach to neural network compression that addresses redundancy at both the filter and architectural levels through a unified framework grounded in information flow analysis. Building on the concept of tensor flow divergence, which quantifies how information is transformed across network layers, we develop a two-stage optimization process. The first stage ...

Clarity of knowledge and reasoning is necessary in many cases. Yet vagueness in scientific thinking related to surprise, curiosity, "ability to engage with not-knowing" (de Freitas) and abductive reasoning is also a crucially important source of scientific creativity which supplements combinatorial logic when dealing with the already known. Starting from studies by C. S. Peirce ...

study of geodesic flows in negative curvature surface by Anosov and Sinai.
Not every closed manifold admits an Anosov flow for well-known reasons:

have exponential growth, and M must be universally covered by R3. Nevertheless,

Chow polylogarithms are some special functions arising in explicit description of the Beilinson regulator map. The most interesting functional equation for this function reflects its vanishing on the boundary in the Bloch's cycle complex.
