Борьба с рыночным манипулированием в развивающихся странах: используемые методы и их применимость в России
Manipulation of stock assets’ prices is quite common problem for all world markets, but especially sharply it is felt in developing countries. Considering the particular importance of this problem, sometimes fairly effective measures are applied to combat one in such states. Usage of such practices, undoubtedly, would contribute to the solution of the problem of illegal transactions on the Russian market.
The article describes proposed by the authors methodology of analysis of the Russian mutual funds. The aim of this methodology is to find out how attractive they are to investors and if they are able to provide the possibility of obtaining higher returns with less risk than the market in general. The study determines what type of fund management (active or passive) is more optimal. It also explains the effectiveness of focusing on past performance of the funds for making future investments. In addition, the ability of the management companies to repeat their past results is analyzed. Moreover, it is shown if it makes sense to focus on management companies that achieved the best results in the past while making decisions about future investments. These and other results achieved in this article reveal the features of the Russian market of collective investments and allow investors to form more competent policy of mutual funds’ investments. The methodology proposed by the authors is universal. Its application for the analysis of the other markets of collective investments will allow revealing their features.
In the current situation in Russia during the formation of the SME policy should be given the report that the mindless copying of foreign experience in support of the SME, which is presented in our country and, in particular, in Moscow, is not more than just a squandering of the budget. The failures in the development of the Russian SME sector are directly linked to this copy. The notable examples of this copying can be established in Moscow infrastructure to support the SME. As for the set of the infrastructure organizations to support the SME in Moscow - that it collects almost all the organizations at once from all developed countries, without regard to the realities of Russia and Moscow, with its corruption. While the development of Russian and, accordingly, Moscow small and medium business is being defined by more significant social, economic and political factors than the entire current, thoughtlessly copied from the practices of the developed countries, the Russian system of its state and municipal support.
The article analyses the characteristics of small and medium sized enterprises and state policy towards SME in modern Russia – in the context of some rather unknown for the Russian experts evidences of last decades, formulated in the works of leading world researchers concerning the role of entrepreneurship, its conditions of development and institutional design of the state policy to promote entrepreneurial activity and innovations.
The article is devoted to improving the quality of education in prospective interdisciplinary areas of knowledge such as biomedical engineering. The experience of universities in the U.S.A. and Western Europe is described. Particular attention is paid to the content formation and certification of educating and training programs.
Smoking is a problem, bringing signifi cant social and economic costs to Russiansociety. However, ratifi cation of the World health organization Framework conventionon tobacco control makes it possible to improve Russian legislation accordingto the international standards. So, I describe some measures that should be taken bythe Russian authorities in the nearest future, and I examine their effi ciency. By studyingthe international evidence I analyze the impact of the smoke-free areas, advertisementand sponsorship bans, tax increases, etc. on the prevalence of smoking, cigaretteconsumption and some other indicators. I also investigate the obstacles confrontingthe Russian authorities when they introduce new policy measures and the public attitudetowards these measures. I conclude that there is a number of easy-to-implementanti-smoking activities that need no fi nancial resources but only a political will.
One of the most important indicators of company's success is the increase of its value. The article investigates traditional methods of company's value assessment and the evidence that the application of these methods is incorrect in the new stage of economy. So it is necessary to create a new method of valuation based on the new main sources of company's success that is its intellectual capital.
