История любви. Любовь в Средние века
The Middle Ages saw love developing under significant influence of the religious belief and the estates of the realm system. It was the culture of chivalry that introduced love as a harmony of a sexual desire and a spiritual union of man and woman, being of considerable educative importance for the development of their personalities. However, due to the peculiarities of the medieval society, such love was possible mostly in non-marital relationship, thus acting as a power that rather destroyed marital and family relations than strengthened them.
