Межфункциональное взаимодействие при разработке инновационного продукта: существующие подходы и перспективы исследований
Among all business processes, the process of NPD plays an exceptional role. In current competitive environment, the successful implementation of the process is believed to be of great importance for any company. Therefore, the importance of cross-functional collaboration between company departments (especially, between R&D and marketing departments) becomes obvious. However, the lack of systematic approach to operationalization of the concept and the lack of scientific attention in Russia remain the most acute challenges. Current research is conducted in order to systematize the existing views on the concept, and to design the construct, describing the concept and applicable during the further research on the topic.
Cross-functional cooperation is considered as one of the most crucial conditions to ensure effectiveness of new product development process. Particular interest arises in identifying conditions which lead to effective cooperation between marketing and R&D as they are deemed pivotal departments in developing innovations. This paper generalizes data from empirical researches and suggests synthesis model of factors affecting effectiveness of cooperation.
The article contains results of research about key success factors in Complex Product Systemsprojects (CoPS-projects). Results based on survey of major foreign companies’ projects managers such as Micron Optics (US), HBM FiberSesning (Portugal), Sylex (Slovakia), OzOptics (USA) and others. The study revealed defining characteristics of successful CoPSprojects, key factors and criteria for determining the success across all life cycle stages. As a result, the article proposes a mechanism of CoPS-project management based on monitoring the success factors at each project stage.
The main purpose of this article is to develop approach to determining the success of NPD-projects at different stages of its life cycle. As part of the study the authors explore the theoretical essence of the success NPD-projects concept, key success factors and criteria, based on Life Cycle model.
The life cycle of the NPD-project was considered through such steps as: ideas generation for the product; development of the product concept and idea; build a business case (a feasibility study); development of the preliminary design of the product; testing and validation; new product launch and market penetration.
As a result, the theoretical concepts discussed among the review criteria and success factors were selected with take into account the specificity of projects on creation of new products, so it will be taken as a basis for further practical analysis. As for success factors, the authors did not find in the theory of the ideal approach to identifying critical success factors of NPD-projects. As a result, was formed set of factors of success through the provision of different models those recognized by all the authors of scientific works and those that reflect the specifics of NPD-projects in terms of management, the project team, the project and its external environment.
This book chapter discusses issues related to the innovative activity of firms, the similarity and distinction of the following categories e.g. innovative marketing and marketing innovations. The issues of the new product development process and successful commercialization of innovative products in the market are thoroughly examined in this book chapter.
At present many industries reveal tendency for setting up of vertically integrated companies (VIC) the structure of which unites all technological processes. This tendency proved its efficiency in oil industry where coordination of all successive stages of technological process, namely, oil prospecting and production -oil transportation - oil processing - oil chemistry - oil products and oil chemicals marketing, is necessary. The article considers specific features of introduction of "personnel management" module at enterprises of oil and gas industry.
