Двадцатилетие Этнографического музея Института этнологии и антропологии РАН: формирование русского фонда
The topic of the article is the history of Russian collections in the Ethnographic cabinet-museum of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Russian Academy of Sciences (IEA RAS), Moscow. The ethnographic items of the Russian collections of IEA RAS museum represent diverse domains, periods, and regions of Russian culture. The collections date from the late XIX century to early 2000s and originate from Ryazan, Tambov, Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod, Kursk, Moscow, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Vologda, Arkhangelsk regions, Karelia, and some areas of the Urals and Siberia. There are many noteworthy ethnographic specimens among the IEA RAS Ethnomuseum collections: household stuff and kitchen utensils, implements for spinning and weaving, textiles, clothing, samples of embroidery, decoration, ritual pastry, toys et al. They illustrate the culture of different regional, local, social, professional, religious groups of Russian people.
