Стандартизация фульвовой кислоты из торфа Нижегородской области
Fulvic acids (FA) are natural organic compounds obtained from the peat in the Nizhny Novgorod region
and used in the pharmacy, and require comprehensive studies not only to determine the authenticity, assay of the
main substance and impurities, but also to standardize the product. This is due, first of all, to the fact that
depending on the FA field, extraction methods, purification and drying, its chemical composition can vary
significantly. It complicates the analysis process. During standardization process, the optimal parameters for the quality of the product were determined, taking into account its chemical composition and biological activity. In
addition, there was a need to obtain standard samples and requirements for the FA quality assessing.
The work carried out the studies of the FA physicochemical properties, established key quality standards and
developed analytical methods that make it possible to determine the content of acidic (carboxyl and phenolic)
chemical groups in the product. The comparative analysis of various methods for FA extraction was carried out.
The Lamar method coupled with freeze drying, extraction methods with organic and inorganic reagents can affect
the FA composition and properties. It was revealed that, depending on the method of extraction of lowland peat
in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the product may contain different polymorphs of fulvic acids and a different
percentage of humic acids. The standardization carried out will allow us to provide the end consumer with a
quality product with proven effectiveness and safety.
