The publication of R. R. Vakhitov's book became one of the important events for the national humanitarian science in 2023. And here several factors played their role at once. On the one hand, the attempt to carry out historical and philosophical generalization, which for some modern researchers is in itself impossible and inadmissible, is of undoubted interest. On the other hand, the subject matter of the book volens nolens “enters” the territory of actual socio-political processes, which cannot but cause a corresponding reaction. For us, the most important feature of the book is R. R. Vakhitov's use of A. F. Losev's methodology for the study of socio-political processes. F. Losev's methodology to the material under study. In this regard, in this review we prefer to refrain from historical and philosophical assessments of the author's conclusions and focus on the “Losevian” dimension of the book.
