We consider a problem of the astronaut training scheduling. Each astronaut has his own set of tasks which should be performed with respect to resource and time constraints. The problem is to determine start moments for all considered tasks. For this issue a mathematical model based on integer linear programming is proposed. Computational results of the implemented model and experiments on real data are presented.

Статья посвящена моделированию поведения пользователя хлебопечки как устройства умного дома. На основании реальных цен на электричество и симуляции поведения пользователя требуется предложить математическую модель и алгоритм машинного обучения для оптимального по соотношению цен и полезности для пользователя автоматического запуска устройства. Мы предлагаем Баейсовский алгоритм машинного обучения для обучения предпочтениям пользователя с учетом предудыщих запусков. В работе демонстрируются результаты экспериментов, в частности, превосходство поедлагаемого алгоритма над популярной реализацией градиентого бустинга, XGBoost. Подход может быть перенесен и на другие бытовые приборы, такие как системы обогрева и кондиционирования.

In this paper, a generalized formulation of a classical single machine scheduling problem is considered. A set of n jobs characterized by their release dates, deadlines and a start time-dependent processing time function p(t) has to be processed on a single machine. The objective is to find a Pareto-optimal set of schedules with respect to the criteria ϕmaxand makespan, where ϕmax is a non-decreasing function depending on the completion times of the jobs. We present an approach that allows to find an optimal schedule with respect to different scheduling criteria, such as the minimization of makespan, lateness or weighted lateness, tardiness and weighted tardiness etc. in time polynomially depending on the number of jobs. The complexity of the presented algorithm is O(n3max{log n, H, P}), where H and P are the complexity of calculating ϕj(t) and p(t), respectively.

In this paper, a problem of robust anisotropy-based control with regional pole assignment for descriptor systems with norm-bounded parametric uncertainties is concerned. The goal is to find a state-feedback control law, which guarantees desirable disturbance attenuation level from stochastic input with unknown covariance to controllable output of the closed-loop system, and ensures, that all finite eigenvalues of the closed-loop system belong to the given region inside the unit disk for all uncertainties from the given set.

Single track segments are common in various railway networks, in particular in various supply chains. For such a segment, connecting two stations, the trains form two groups, depending on what station is the initial station for the journey between these two stations. Within a group the trains differ by their cost functions. It is assumed that the single track is sufficiently long so several trains can travel in the same direction simultaneously. The paper presents polynomial-time algorithms for different versions of this two-station train scheduling problem with a single railway track. The considered models differ from each other by their objective functions.

The problem of optimal control for a class of non-linear objects with uncontrolled bounded disturbances is formulated in the sense of a differential game. In case of problems with quadratic quality functional, the problem of optimal control search is reduced to finding of solution of Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs equation. Solutions of this equation at the rate of functioning of the object are searched by means of special algorithmic procedures obtained with the use of viscosity solution theory. The obtained results may be used for solving of theoretical and applied problems of mathematics, mechanics, physics, biology, chemistry, engineering, control and navigation. This work (research grant No 14-01-0112) was supported by The National Research University Higher School of Economics’ Acad.
