HSE Students Gave the Best Presentations at Franfinance-2015
Four HSE students were winners in a competition at the 5th international francophone conference for young academic researchers, Humanity and Climate: Sociological, Economic and Political Issues.
The Franfinance conference, organised by the Russian Government’s Financial University brought together students and young researchers from the top Russian and French universities, professors, businessmen and ecologists to discuss economic cooperation in the field of renewable energy, natural and man-made ecosystems and other issues of regional and international integration in the face of climate change.
An international jury rated the presentations by students from the HSE Faculty of Law and the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs very highly. Virginie Tellier, Attache for cooperation at the French Embassy in Moscow gave certificates to the competition winners - Tatiana Shakhova (for best paper) Dariya Bobykh and Ksenia Lutsenko (for mastery of specialist language) and to Talia Nurtdinova (for most creative approach to explaining the subject). Natalia Zhukova and Marina Levina, Senior Lecturer and Assistant Professor respectively, at the HSE School of French were given commendations from the organising committee in recognition for their work preparing students for the conference.
The annual Franfinance conference encourages young academics to produce innovational projects in Russian and French economics and finance and to use French as the language of business communications.
