The collection of articles contains papers presented under «Unknown nearby: five years of New Moscow» research project held at the Moscow City branch of Russian Geographical Society at various academic conferences. The project aims at assessing the functional and spatial changes in the territories transferred to Moscow in 2012, including their economic, social and environmental prospects. The conferences were held with the support by Moscow city branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
