Experts from the Higher School of Economics have reviewed the BRICS countries' research landscape using data from 2000-2015 from the Scopus citation database. They found that academic activity in the BRICS is growing at a fast pace and catching up with that of the EU countries and the US.

On September 24-25, the International Symposium on Development and Governance in BRICS was held at Fudan University in Shanghai. The event was organized with the support of the Chinese Society for Public Sector Reform.

These issues will be discussed at a conference to be held on May 19 jointly by the HSE Department of Public Policy and Oxfam, an international non-governmental organization. Registration for the seminar is open to Russian and foreign experts, researchers, students and representatives of NGOs.
