This multi-author monograph has been compiled at the Department of Foreign Languages, Linguistics and Interpretation of Perm National Research Polytechnic University based on the research into modern translation discourse as an anthropocentric and textocentric phenomenon. The scientific inquiry is focused on exploration into the interpretaion process pattern as a synergetic system of interpreting senses of languages and cultures, interacting in the translation space, where the category of harmony is its axiological vector.
The monograph is aimed at students, post-graduates, doctoral students, and those specialized in translation studies, comparative linguistics, language education, and intercultural communication.

The first scientific biography of Venedikt Erofeev
The punch line of the book “Verbal Phenomenology of the Quality of Human Life Considered in the Sense of Psycholinguistic and Psycho-Pedagogical Methods and Approaches to its Optimization” could be defined as a study developed through systematic analysis of the major psycholinguistic aspects of language image reflected in the general picture of human life with respect to their links with linguistic,existential,aesthetic,cathartic,philosophical,literary,pedagogical,psychological,medical and biological scholarly approaches to the quality of life in the context of activity paradigm. The results of the theoretical study have been incorporated into a practical course aimed at optimization of the quality of human life through language acquisition within the platform under view.

The paper sums up the results of the annual literary contest in regards to the autobiographical novel “The forgotten taste of kislichka” by the South Korean writer Park Wansuh, which was held at the end of 2016 among Russian students. The book aroused great interest among readers owing to the author’s frankness, simplicity of narration, and fascinating plot. Park Wansuh describes her childhood in a village, moving to Seoul, years at the University, liberation from Japan, adulthood, and the Korean War (1950–1953). Most students note the importance of information that the writer preserved in her memory as well as extensive ethnographic material on Korea. The writer describes the traditions of Koreans, relations in family and society. Many students note that thanks to Park Wansuh, they acquired interest to the history and culture of Korea. The writer uses numerous symbols that have been interpreted differently by the authors of the essays. Particular interest was raised by kislichka, the plant that symbolizes both the homeland of Park Wansuh and the formation of her personality. Students also paid much attention to the image of the mother. It helps readers to understand the origins of strength and creativity of Korean people, who turned the former colony into a developed economy over a few decades, an incredible “discovery” for many essay writers. Comparing the history of Korea and Russia, students find a lot of things in common, despite the different mentality. Ultimately, students note the author's mastery in describing nature, and they find parallels with famous works of Russian writers.
