Th is article is devoted to the methods of how to write a research text in the area of public administration. The research styles as integral methodic-technological characteristics of the parts of the research text are introduced. Diff erent research styles can be attributed to seven parts of the research text: abstract; introduction (including sources review); hypothesis the main part of the text (including specifi cation of the initial hypothesis according to the selected method of its justifi cation, data and other instruments of the hypothesis justifi cation usage); conclusion (including the hypothesis proliferation and proposals for practical applicability of the achieved results); a list of sources; and footnotes and remarks.
We make detailed observations of the self-reported job preferences of 2nd public administration undergraduates in two prestigious universities in Moscow, Russian Federation. We report that federal civil service is the top destination for Russian PA undergraduates. We also report that working in federal civil service by far triumphs over regional public administration in terms of self-reported occupational intention. We also make in-depth observations of the expected utility underlying students’ job preferences.
The presented book is written for several categories of readers. Authors with the main idea- to receive the instruction for preparation of the publication, can consider only the first part of the book. Here we present the short description of stages of the project on writing research articles: preparatory stages, main stages and final stage. These stages cover the research project from the moment of his idea to the text delivery for publication and the presentation of results of the project. Experts in methodology of scientific research and those authors who would like to understand the reasons of such, but not other sequence of stages, to understand features of maintenance of key stages of the research project preparation, can focus on the second part. It contains developed explanations and the reasonings on some essentially important technologies and methods of research in the field of the public and municipal administration. In this part, teachers of research seminars will find approved, well-recommended techniques of the research seminar organization, promoting students' research initiative and their best inclusion in work.

The article looks upon the carrier consulting as an urgent resource to form competence and improve professional skills of workers in the field of public and municipal management. It shows that this kind of consultations is one of a very effective means to improve performance of the whole organization. The results of the analysis of carrier orientation and the kinds of carrier the office workers have, can well be used for consulting and as contents for effective training and developing specialists in public and municipal administration.
