This article deals with a number of issues concerning studing English terminology of marketing from a cognitive point of view. Thus, the importance of analysing dynamics in conceptualisation and categorisation done by professional markiting experts has been outlined. Abbriviated terms of the term-system "markketing" are discussed as illustrating examples.
The paper describes the varieties of acronyms and other abbreviations used in the speech of Internet forums. The author investigates their features and functions and reveals the relationship the relationship between the active usage of different kinds of abbreviations and their functions in the Internet speech.
By the example of the lexico-semantic group 'Stock market goods, their lists, properties, stock exchange documents and rules' the author shows the origin of traders' slang words and expressions and the structural, derivational and lexicological aspects of stock-market participants' lexis system relations.

This article traces the transformation of a genre of the review, traditional for the Russian journalism. This article offers the description of the speech structure of the review, based on the semantic category of an evaluation. The contemporary review occurrs not within a discourse of culture anymore, but also as a part of political or marketing communication within media environment.
