The article is aimed at searching for principles of cross-cultural comparison of moral systems. We accept anthropologically oriented approach, and undertake the study of the moral guidelines that the Russian society translates to the younger generations. Comparative analysis of the Soviet and post-Soviet textbooks have revealed both quantitative and qualitative changes in the moral standards, appraisements and judgments to be translated to children: the representativity of individualizing moral foundations expands, while the representativity of those ‘working on the benefit of group’ shrinks. Translators of moral standards in the Soviet period had a generalized nature: a large, stable social community – the Soviet people, the state – are represented in this role in the soviet textbooks. In the post-Soviet period the situation has changed: the function of moral socialization performed by more personalized subjects – a small group, family.
This article presents the results of a comparative analysis of school textbooks of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods, aimed at the study of moral values' cultural «standard» and its transformation over the past decades. The study revealed the presence of both quantitative and qualitative changes of moral standards, assessments and judgments, transmitted to children.
Current trends in education, namely blended learning and computer-assisted language learning, underlie the growing interest to the task of automatically generating language exercises. Such automatic systems are especially in demand given the variability in language learning. Despite the abundance of resources for language learning, there is often a lack of specific exercises targeting a particular group of learners or ESP course. This paper gives an overview of a computer system called Exercise Maker that is aimed at flexible and versatile language exercise generation. The system supports seven exercise types, which can be generated from arbitrary passages written in English. Being able to tailor educational material to learners’ interests is known to boost motivation in learners (Heilman et al., 2010). An important feature of the system is the automatic ranking of the source passages according to their complexity/readability. As shown by expert evaluation, the automatically generated exercises are of high quality: the gap precision is about 97-98%, while the overall exercise acceptance rate varies from 90% to 97.5%. Exercise Maker is freely available for educational and research purposes.

In the paper we provide the results of a study of the content of primary school textbooks of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods.
This article presents an approach to the automatic generation of open cloze exercises that are based on real-life English texts. The exercise format is similar to the open cloze test used in Cambridge certificate exams (FCE, CAE, CPE). Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the usefulness on the machine-generated exercises and compare them with authentic Cambridge tests. The experiments showed that the generation method used was quite effective. With some customization, the presented method can be applied to generating similar exercises based on texts written in other languages.
The paper is focused on the study of reaction of italian literature critics on the publication of the Boris Pasternak's novel "Doctor Jivago". The analysys of the book ""Doctor Jivago", Pasternak, 1958, Italy" (published in Russian language in "Reka vremen", 2012, in Moscow) is given. The papers of italian writers, critics and historians of literature, who reacted immediately upon the publication of the novel (A. Moravia, I. Calvino, F.Fortini, C. Cassola, C. Salinari ecc.) are studied and analised.
In the article the patterns of the realization of emotional utterances in dialogic and monologic speech are described. The author pays special attention to the characteristic features of the speech of a speaker feeling psychic tension and to the compositional-pragmatic peculiarities of dialogic and monologic text.
