The article deals with linguistic and pragmatic features of the use of word-formative neologisms in the texts of modern Russian media. An analysis is presented of the specific features of word-formative neologisms created by the conventional methods (affixation, affixoidation, complex-suffixal method) and non-conventional methods (hybridization, substitutive word-formation, derivation according to a specific pattern, graphic derivation).
A general description is given of software products designed for econometric studies. Software packages Microsoft Excel, Stadium, SPSS, and MATLAB are considered in detail.
The results of numerical experiments using the iterative methods are presented for the solution of ill-conditioned symmetric SLAE for a number of structural mechanics problems. The second order incomplete triangular factorization has been used to construct preconditionings. MPI and TBB technologies have been exploited to parallelize computations. Numerical experiments in different parallel regimes have been performed on the Lomonosov supercomputer.
The author considers and classifies the main approaches to the concept of the Russian world. It is proved that there can be no Russian world without the Russian idea, which sets the common goal and through it determines the overall project of development. The article provides a critical analysis of Eurasians’ and Westernizers’ views on the Russian world.
The authors analyze the correlation between the freedom of movement and the citizens’ duty to register at the place of residence (permanent registration) or at the place of temporary residence (temporary registration). Nowadays, citizens cannot exercise registration and deregistration on a voluntary basis, in spite of the fact that the Soviet system of registration (propiska) was abolished. Particular attention is given in the article to the institution of administrative responsibility and criminal liability for breach of the registration regime.
The study investigates the features of English adjectives with inherent gradable semantic components. Intensifying adjectives are classified into five categories with respect to the semantic criteria. Adjectives used for emphasis are given different degrees on a unary scale.

In this article, totalitarian discourse is examined in the politics and literature of the first third of the 20th centure in Italy, Germany and the USSR As an example, the speaches of the political leadersof the totalitarian period reveal specific characteristics of their mentality and language.
A theoretical and conceptual basis for the investigation of the subject Festive city space is proposed. Some sociological approaches to the analysis of urban space are covered. All the material is systematized and subdivided according to three aspects of looking at social space: the space of social actors interactions; the structure of status positions; the connection of geographic space and social meanings that are attached to it.
