The paper focuses on analyzing development programs for complex organizational and technical systems. Such programs comprise projects and program events linked with each other by relations of precedence. The programs exert influence on maturity of managed objects and have certain financial consequences. Distinctive features of such programs include impossibility of assessment of their results in financial terms, as well as availability of stochastic characteristics. Stochastic nature of key parameters of development programs (projects durations, time lags between projects and events, power of impact on maturity and financial metrics) makes it possible to apply discrete-event modeling. Special attention is paid on complicated projects of three types: with uncertain outcome, with possibility of reimplementation and with few variants of implementation. As a modeling tool, timed stochastic Petri nets with certain attributes of places, transitions and arcs are applied. Different time lags are described by the means of holding durations assigned to the arcs. For complicated projects, special routing policies allowing stochastic selection of firing transitions are used. The modeling approach allows analyzing consequences of potential development programs, including both their effects and related expenditures. In turn, the modeling results help to justify decisions regarding comparison of alternative development programs and selection of one of them for implementation.

The research goal was initially to develop a network (graph) database (DB) of wide applicability for representing the meaning obtained from a text in a natural language (general DB). Since the meaning descriptions of the physical world are often encountered in texts, it was required to separate the DB part (named the physical DB) intended to describe the spatio-temporal and cause-effect relationships between objects. The article draws attention to this part of DB because it can be used not only in NLP but also in many other areas: automatic systems of mobile technical objects for orientation in space, virtual reality, etc. The physical DB describes the physical world from the standpoint of subjective perception by a person or a technical object. The object-attribute approach to the data structure underlies the general and physical DB. An organization principle and a rigid format were developed for the general DB, and the information search technology and a principle for obtaining new information on the basis of the already existing information are additionally developed for the physical DB. The physical DB can describe practically all possible characteristics of objects and relations between objects in the real world: relative position of objects, direction, shapes and dimensions of objects, metrics, relationships between cause and effect. The real world perception subjectivity is ensured by the application of the theory of fuzzy sets and linguistic variables.

This article is devoted to a preventing of harmful information spreading in social networks. Currently, social networks are widespread. Their popularity is growing every day. For this reason, they can be used not only by managers and marketers for the dissemination of advertising, product promotion, but also attackers for the dissemination of prohibited information. So it is necessary to predict harmful information propagation and intervention. One of the ways to solve this problem is to model social networks. This paper examines the main approaches to social network modeling as well as the domain of their application and practical results. Two approaches: static and dynamic are considered. Static approach suppose an analyses of the structural characteristics of the online networks. Dynamic approach considers changes in networks and characteristics depending on time. Dynamic approach (agent based simulation) may examine the diffusion of information in online social networks more adequately and more precisely. Authors discuss several problems dealing with social networks and several examples of these problems decision. In addition, the simulation toolkit Triad.Net is considered. Simulation toolkit allows to analyze the structural characteristics of social network and to carry out simulation experiment and fulfill an analyses of the dynamic characteristics of online social networks. And in conclusion authors describes a problem of a preventing of harmful information diffusion and discuss how to solve this problem using simulation toolkit Triad.Net.

The rapid development of information technologies, the introduction of new cloud services, and the transfer of employees to remote work necessitate the adequate development of data leak Prevention (DLP) systems. The purpose of this article is to determine factors that affect this process and identify main trends in the development of DLP systems in the Russian Federation. To do this, we analyze statistics on information leaks, explore the prospects for implementing new features of DLP systems based on modern information technologies (BigData, IOT, artificial intelligence and machine learning), and consider ways and means of integrating DLP within complex information security systems (SSI) in accordance with the requirements of the main regulatory and methodological documents of the Russian Federation in the fi of information security. To solve these problems, methods of analysis, synthesis, system analysis, formalization, comparison and analogy are used. Import substitution, digitalization of the economy, ensuring the security of critical information infrastructure, as well as the need to control automated systems, communications and users in distributed work in the context of a pandemic that has caused requirements to restrict personal contacts are considered as the main drivers of development for both information security and information technologies. As a result of the analysis, the most priority areas for the development of automated systems for monitoring information flows were identified: analytics, data visualization, system integration, behavioral analysis of threats to information security.

At present, performance management systems are extremely important for enterprises and organizations of different industries, as a tool for filling the gap between strategic planning and operational activities. Because of indirect and uncertain nature of economic benefits obtained from such systems, traditional investment appraisal methods are inapplicable for evaluating their development programs. Therefore, implementation and adoption of performance management systems require special measures characterizing both financial expenditures related with development programs and non-financial results. For this purpose, a system of measures of performance management systems development is advanced in this article. All the measures are subdivided into three groups – effectiveness (results obtained), economy (financing and resources used) and efficiency (relations between the results and resources). The measures characterizing development results are based on the performance management maturity model that expresses the systems’ maturity according to a set of pre-defined qualitative threshold levels. Various types of values of the measures are applicable on different stages of the management process. Particularly, targeted values are used as requirements to development programs on the stage of forming potential alternatives and their assessment. Modeled values are related with discrete-event simulation of potential programs, for their comparison and selecting one of them for implementation. Planned values are applied when launching the development program selected. Forecasted values are useful on different stages of the program’s implementation. Finally, actual values are used for summarizing consequences of the program that is partially or fully completed. The significance of the proposed measurement methodology is explained by its role in the general process of performance management systems development.

The main output of planning the business analysis process is formation of a certain approach to business analysis execution. Such approach describes a process that should be followed during business analysis: terms of completing the tasks, methods used, as well as planned results of the project. Business analysts should pay attention on compliance between requirements and business needs, during the whole iterative planning process, especially regarding developing and transformation of business goals over time. The novelty of the paper is that authors developed an adaptive approach to business analysis planning using Agile methodology. This approach may provide competitive advantage for a company, in rapidly changing and complex environments.

The problem of designing a cyberphysical system used as a service for Smart buildings control using Internet technologies — Internet of Things (IoT) is considered. Such software platforms are part of the complex systems of the BEMS — Building Energy Management Systems and are an instrument for implementing energy savings in buildings. IoT servers and controllers form a management infrastructure in which the mechanisms of adaptation and data mining, which are continuously received from a large number of nodes, play a special role. In the absence of standards for the implementation of BEMS based on IoT, as well as increasing requirements for the composition and functions of analytical support, there is a need to unify software architectures and ensure their effective implementation in solving practical problems. Software component unification, including the scenario manager, provides operational software implementation using various information technologies, including cloud or foggy computing. The presented architectural templates clearly illustrate the possibilities of scaling and developing services for managing intelligent buildings using IoT. The projected open SaaS architecture software platform is an effective means for buildings energy managing with a contour of Data Mining. It can be used for replication of knowledge about the energy efficiency in buildings, including the use of renewable energy sources.
