This article aims at the improvement of the engineer training quality in the field of "computer Science and engineering" using on-line and blended learning technology. We consider studying of modern computers architecture as an example. The complexity of the modeling object, the multi-faceted process of studying the computer architecture, the limited period – are the factors that determine the difficulty of the problem. A computer simulator allows you to explore the stages and features of the calculation process in dynamics with the necessary detail. It can't be done any other way. Also, computer modeling creates a risk-free environment that allows you to safely and repeatedly apply and analyze possible scenarios, decomposition of computer nodes and configuring its components for different modes of operation. This is either impossible to perform on real devices or may result in computer failure under students’ inept actions. The paper discusses the problems of the computer units and devices simulating, the requirements for models in terms of solving educational and research problems. We propose a structure of the simulating complex, visualization methods of computer architecture components and principles of computer system device’s operation, algorithms descriptions of the modeling programs. Since the computer architecture implies a whole complex of concepts, including functional and structural organization, software and hardware interaction algorithms, the considered simulating complex consists of several simulators: step-by-step operation of the superscalar processor core; cache coherence protocols in multiprocessor (multi-core) systems; algorithms for fast address translation with the help of Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB); various technologies for multithreaded data processing; pipeline processing of the machine instructions stream; memory paging algorithms; cache mapping algorithms; cache replacement algorithms; etc. The main functions and features of each model are considered. An important advantage of the proposed simulating complex is the ability to vary the parameters of models of specific computer devices, which makes it possible to explore the resource/time characteristics of data processing by computer system devices.

The paper presents a logical model for the system of interfaces between Linux applications and distributions and describes an approach for developing interface standards for the Linux OS aimed to simplify creation of applications compatible with different Linux distributions.
The authors escribe a method of presenting and studying English grammar using information technology. Sequential memorizing of large blocks of text describing the rules of tense formation is replaced by a one-time remembering simple image - visualization processes. A simple language of symbols facilitate and accelerate the memorization of the rules of English grammar. Tabulated systematic grammar of the English language, where each verb tense gets a finished graphic image, becomes easy to understand and memorize for both a human being and a computer.
In this paper the basic concepts of ontological engineering, Ontology Description languages and a niche occupied with them in a context of the Semantic Web are considered. The analysis of ontological engineering tools is carried out. The most competitive tools for building, displaying and combining ontologies are described.
The article represents some information technologies of a search for similar researches, projects or just ideas in catalogues of dissertations and suggests a software web-based system of automated search of the kind. The relevance of the system is justified by impossibility of doing the same work by people and absence of systems which can input a large text for this kind of search. There are several methods described which the system is based upon as well as several mini-researches results which have been conducted in order to understand structures of the dissertations catalogues and to interpret results of the system’s work. The system’s architecture, database structure and algorithm are presented in the article along with the rules of its running automatically using one of the planning tasks mechanisms of operating systems (cron). There are several user's and the system administrator's interface examples and system outputs provided from the user’s and the system administrator’s points of view. In the conclusion, key features and difficulties of the system and of the process of using it are outlined together with the outcome of the research with advantages and disadvantages of the system along with mentioning its practical value. Also, as a part of the conclusion there are results of another mini-research about the system's search script lifetime and some outcomes of server and the script settings necessary for getting correct results with the help of the system.
Implementation of IT and program projects seems to be very complicated and taught process, associated with many uncertainties and risks. Sure, this does not mean the rejection of such projects, supposed the more responsibility for the decision making process of new information technologies implementation. To manage various problems which face project managers, it makes sense to use special risk management software. The functionality of modern risk management systems allows identifying risk occurrence, conducting scenario modeling, take the more appropriate managing decisions based on scenario analysis and mathematical calculations. All these functionality will support project manager to optimize his business activities in accordance to risk management practices and ensure better coordination and balance inside the project team. Currently there available a wide range of project management software, but it is reasonable to conduct some analysis in terms of applicability to specific IT projects. The author will review the most appropriate software solutions for the risk management in IT area, conduct competitive analysis and provide some recommendations on software selection.
The basic aim of this paper was to analyze and make a forecast for any changes on the market of top-level domain names by the results of the program implementation for introducing new domains (new gTLD) by ICANN. New domain names registration statistics is presented in this paper for the end of 2016. New criteria were proposed to describe changes and real usage of new domain names. We also studied users knowledge about information resources located within new domain names. Positive and negative aspects of implementation of new gTLD are presented in this paper.
This article gives an analysis of the effect of geometric shape of the topology and «hot spots» placement on the effectiveness of networks-on-chip. For this reason, a review of the main approaches to the modeling of networks-on-chip was made and the approach for networks on-chip modeling by using SystemC NoCTweak networks-on-chip simulator. The analysis of the simulation results led to the following conclusions: the use of topologies, which are close to the square form allows to increase the network capacity up to 24,7% and the central location of «hot spots» allows up to 9% reduction in the delay of packets, up to 15.2% – in energy consumption for each packet transmission and up to 19.5% increase of the network capacity.
The problem of solving a system of linear equations with multiple right hand sides and matrix dependent on the parameter is considered. The iterative method that exploits the previous results of matrix vector multiplications to solve the next system is suggested. The method provides the reduction of computational efforts due to decrease of matrix-vector multiplications and reuse of computed vectors. The results of application of proposed algorithms for periodic small-signal analysis of nonlinear electronic circuits are given.
The process of selecting a contest winner is presented in the form of a multistage decision-making procedure. At the first stage, it is necessary to generate a list of alternative projects (applications for participation in a particular contest). At the second stage a list of criteria to select the alternatives is formed. Next, it is required to determine numerical or linguistic estimation scales based on the selected criteria. It is assumed that before the contest is held several ordered gradations are determined for each criterion and estimation of each of the proposed alternative projects can be attributed to one of them. At the next stage, the problem of determining the relative importance of criteria and corresponding gradations for these criteria is solved. Then comes the procedure itself, which compares the received applications using the selected criteria and estimation scales. The last task is very labour intensive and its automation will allow to simplify greatly the work of the juries.
This paper examines the questions related to building automated systems aimed to determine the winners of scientific and technical project competitions based on the decision-making support methods. It offers an integrated approach including technologies and procedures of analytical hierarchies methods (can be used for the purpose of gradation weight on the criteria scales), group methods of expert estimation of multicriteria alternatives – the method of preferences or rank method (can be used for purposing of scales gradation on scales of criteria and for the purpose of criteria weight), methods of group decisions coordination using the preference functions or decision-maker relations (it is used for coordination of expert numerical estimates of gradation on scales of criteria). The examples of calculations illustrating this approach are given.
General classification problems are considered. A new method based many-dimensional classification is offered. Perspectives of using this method for classifier organization in information retrieval systems are discussed.
The article presents the integrated approach to corporate automated project management systems (CAPMS) design for the construction companies. The approach includes a set of new methodological, technological and organizational solutions based on SAP ERP. The specific features of construction projects, the main project categories, the main project roles were defined and the scheme of information flows accounting the features of construction industry was created. The corporate project management standard framework is proposed. The IT functional accounting the construction companies features was designed. The implementation of proposed decisions in CAPMS for real construction company has shown their high efficiency. It includes the project implementation cost decrease due to materials and equipment purchase optimization and decrease of the warehouse storage costs. Also the system allowed to appreciably increase the internal subcontractors control efficiency.
