The article deals with the opportunities for using such technological approaches to individualization of students' research skills as project method, learning in cooperation and information and computer technologies. These approaches being complexly used help to decide the problem of insufficient research skills development. The authors highlight the problem of students¢ insufficient research skills development, focus on reasons and consequences of this problem. The authors make inferences on effectiveness of using these technological approaches for making students' research skills development more individualized and personality oriented.
The article deals with the comparative analysis of the definition and content of competences mentioned in educational standards of research universities and state educational standards of high education. The analysis is conducted on the base of two types of standards: innovative educational standards of National Research University-Higher School of Economics and state educational standards of high education (Bachelor's programme). Two criteria are used for comparison: definition of the notion “competence” and its content. The analysis is held to find out the innovative features of competences according to standards of the research university and to what extent the competences of the research university graduate match socio-economic needs of society.
The article deals with the reliability of the results of the school exam in mathematics. Was an experiment, which departs from the data in 2013, when there was the low level of confidence. Based on what methods of mathematical statistics to analyze the real level of knowledge in mathematics and evaluated the dynamics of its development.
The review on a number of sources in English, discussing tension between representatives of managerial and academic ethos in modern universities, is suggested. Based on those publications and events that appeared in mass media, the author is analyzing causes and ways for solving conflicts between two permanently opposed groups of university employees. Presented ideas may impulse further investigations of academic and managerial university identities for deeper understanding of the nature of academic professionals’ and professional managers’ conflicts.

Researched are features of formation of intercultural communicative competence in terms of professionally oriented approach. Examined is the concept of communicative competence, as well as discussed is work aimed at overcoming contradictions between requirements of purposeful formation of personality, capable of working in international space, and the lack of theoretically developed strategy conditions of such training at technical university.
