Гуляев Р. В. Вопросы философии. 2015. № 9. С. 103-113.

The article is devoted to the analysis of N.V. Gogol’s novel “Viy” as a representation of his philosophical concepts of evil, human nature and society. We analyze its main character, the only philosopher in Gogol’s works. Thomas Brutus finds himself on the intersection of real world and fantastic reality, which makes him horrified. But we can describe this situation in terms of political philosophy, like Hannah Arendt’s concept of totalitarian society. It is not the reality of horror that deprives Thomas Brutus of the speaking ability and breaks his connection with the rest of society. Instead the society itself chooses not to confront obvious evil but to exclude the hero from its own ranks and to ignore his attempts to tell what is happening.

Тульчинский Г. Л. Вопросы философии. 2018. № 4. С. 22-31.

The Russian revolution is a process of ambiguous modernization (since the end of the 19th century), which is still not institutionally completed. The key moment was the events of 2017. Their result was the coming to power of the Bolshevik Party, the Civil War, the formation of the political regime, which gave the very traumatic modernization form for socium. To explain these events, we propose a P.Chaadaev paradox about the prospect of the victory of historically untenable socialism because of the untenable of its opponents. The "Chaadaev factor" content clarified with the help of the concepts of political will and N.Taleb’s "black swans". From this point of view, the society transition into a new state is a matter of a small number of uncompromising people, who are personally interested in the transition, involved in this process. Success comes in the case of simplification of problems and solutions in combination with the accentuated uncompromising minority and sufficient tolerance of the majority, when representatives of this majority have an asymmetry in their choice. The review results are beyond the scope of Russian experience and open up new opportunities for analyzing and solving problems of passionarity and tolerance. For example, if the reciprocity in tolerance conditions will violated, the society may lose immunity in relation to the willful intolerant minority.

Золотухин В. В. Вопросы философии. 2017. № 11. С. 190-199.

The paper is devoted to the study of F. Bouterwek’s philosophy of religion with the accent to his late works. F. Bouterwek is the one of the most important German idealists of the “second line”. The author exposes firstly Bouterwek’s own outerconfessional theistic ideas and, secondly, main points of his Fichte’s and Schelling’s doctrines criticism. As a result, the author of the paper points out following conclusions: 1) Bouterwek’s philosophical system is the most elaborated and developed version of the religious sentimentalism; 2) in respect of the content Bouterwek’s doctrine can be located between Jacobi’s thought and the latest speculative theism; 3) the analysis of religious sentiment by means of the contemporary psychology is an innovation in the religious sentimentalism; 4) the same can be said about the typological analysis of the religious conscience; 5) Bouterwek is the author of the historical outline of theism and pantheism; 6) he also demarcates concepts of faith and religion and, moreover, proposes his own definition of religion; 7) these facts permit to assert that the Bouterwek’s philosophy of religion is an original and important mediator between the classical German idealism and the posterior science of religion.

Жукова О. А. Вопросы философии. 2016. № 12. С. 111-116.

“History of the Russian State” is a unique phenomenon of Russian culture. Karamzin was the first who had the distinction of returning the flow of Russian history back, as it were, into the river-bed of national life. Through addressing the memory of the people, Karamzin has recreated Russian history within an aesthetic framework of the late Enlightenment and romanticism. According to Karamzin, “History” should rear moral and civil feelings of the Russian people through the study of past events, customs and cultural traditions. Through reading Karamzin, we can understand our native history as a living part of the nation’s spiritual experience, thereby restoring historical consciousness in contemporary Russian society.

Арендт Х. Вопросы философии. 2014. № 4. С. 53-70.

The philosophical essay “What is Freedom” by Hannah Arendt though modest in extent, serves as a kind of a key deciphering and elucidating the underlying import of her major works written both before and after this essay, namely “The origins of totalitarianism”, “Vita activa”, “On revolution”, “On violence” etc. Arendt analyses such concepts as “freedom of the mind”, “freedom of the will”, showing that the roots of the very phenomenon of freedom lie in the political realm. Freedom is a faculty of man to begin something new, non-existent in this world. It is a capacity to interrupt “automatic” processes in natural as well as political sphere. In the Preface the translator places the questions raised in essay in a wider framework of Hannah Arendt’s work.

Кантор В. К. Вопросы философии. 2014. № 3. С. 95-104.

In his article, the author tries to figure out how to put together the idea of rational egoism Russian thinker that is reasonable to selfishness, that is the beginning of the personal and impersonal communal idea. He comes to the conclusion that this is the realist view, trying to come not from a science fiction utopian hopes and realities of human life and Russian. As thinkers of the past (Machiavelli, Spinoza) Chernyshevsky believed that self-interest – given, it can not get rid of, but you can redirect to another benefit , pa – reasonable to. I must see their benefit in the benefit You. And the community – a fact of Russia, but this datum is necessary to find mechanisms that turn it into a defender of the individual.

The typology of understanding of the literary text is offered. The first type: ”understanding” – finding-out or mastering of that sense that is understood. The found out sense becomes an knowledge: to understand the text – the nobility its sense means. The second type: ”understanding” is interpretation, investment with sense. The history of confrontation with fascism or National Socialism in the interwar period can be basically regarded as a history of erroneous estimates. Successes of both movements were conditioned not least by inability of their opponents, but also by inability of their allies, to understand their character. Not least because of this, analysts, who could timely recognize the nature of this challenge, deserve special attention. This article is devoted to one of these analysts. It is a German-Russian social democrat Alexander Schifrin, whose acute analyses of fascism in the time when the National Socialists achieved one success after another, were paid insufficient attention in previous researches both in East and West.

Enactivism as a radical conceptual turn or a paradigm shift in non-classical epistemology and cognitive science is under consideration in the article. Enactivism is not a new hypertheory, but rather a system of theoretical notions rooted in bioepistemology (naturalistic epistemology), because in the frames of enactivism consciousness and its functions are studied in the context of the understanding of complexity and of nature of complex formations in the world. Consciousness is viewed as an active and interactive, embodied and situated, its cognitive activity occurs by building-into environment, i.e. by enacting the environment. The contributions of Francisco Varela, Evan Thompson, Alva Noe to the development of enactivism are retraced in the article. It is shown that enactivism can be considered as a form of constructivism in epistemology
