Степень замкнутости предприятий моногородов угледобывающей промышленности Кемеровской области на внутренний рынок
The study is devoted to the analysis of the role of city-forming enterprises of the coal industry in the economy of medium-sized single-industry towns (from 50 to 100 thousand people) using the example of the Kemerovo region. The topic of the study is related to the vulnerability of single-industry towns in conditions of external instability and the analysis of the role of the city-forming enterprise in the economy of the single-industry town. The characteristics of business networks identified during the study, based on data on ownership, contracts and litigation, made it possible to draw conclusions about the degree to which the studied enterprises are closed to the local or regional economy. To evaluate the hypothesis about the relationship between the degree of closure of city-forming enterprises to a certain market and the degree of its monopolization, data on city-forming enterprises of single-industry towns were collected from the SPARK-Interfax database. The constructed networks, their economic connections and the calculated Herfindahl-Hirschman index helped in compiling the characteristics of the cities. Based on the data obtained, an analysis was conducted to identify connections between the characteristics of networks, the specialization of the city and indicators of monopolization of enterprises. As a result, a connection was found between the level of market closure and the single-industry indicators of the economy of the single-industry towns considered.
