Архитектурное Решение как инструмент планирования и согласования изменений в проектах внедрения и кастомизации информационных систем
The agile project management approach has been considered to be one of the most popular approaches for developing IT solutions. Use of this approach allows us to change the requirements at any stage of the IT project, and one of the twelve principles of Agile Manifesto, – “Simplicity”, – promotes the use of a minimum amount of project documentation. One of the disadvantages limiting the implementation in such resource-intensive projects as Information Systems Projects (ISP) is the risk of exceeding budgets and time limits. Therefore it is highly important to develop such a tool that will contribute in discussion and approval process with the customer before changes are started so as to minimize the possibilities of changes at further stages of the project.
This article investigates the possibility of applying holistic methods of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) in order to support solutions design during an Information System Project, in particular, in the form of documentation at the stage before implementation planning. The main aim of our research is to develop a tool that will help the customer to understand the planned changes and will contribute in that their infl uence on the already existing EA is taken into account. This article fi rst reviews standards of IT project management in the context of recommendations for “conceptual project” outcomes. Next, the results of interviews conducted with IT consultants are presented. The proposed Architectural Solution (AS) is a document that completes the stage of design and coordinating IT changes. It is based on the application of methods and models from the fi eld of EA. We believe this solution may be a suffi cient document for coordinating projects that are conducted under agile philosophy.
The paper describes the principles of economic efficiency of the ATP with a decision support system. The proposed approach allows the analysis and planning of the production program for the production of motor transport.
In 2013, the InternationalConference on Advance Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE) is turning 25. Started in 1989, in these years, the conference has provided a broad forum for researchers working in the area of Information Systems Engineering. To reflect on the work done so far and to examine perspectives of future work, the CAiSE Steering Committee decided to collect a selection of papers published in the conference proceedings in these years and to ask their authors, well-known researchers in the area, to comment on their work and how it developed during the years. CAiSE Proceedings have been published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series (LNCS) since 1990.
The book provides an overview on the conference from different points of view: a historical analysis on how it developed and its goals over the years, a social network analysis of the positioning of CAiSE in the research community, and future perspectives for the conference in an evolving world.
Implementation of enterprise information management systems is still a challenging task for any organization. One of the key challenges within implementation projects is analysis of business requirements and determination of required system capabilities. Traditionally this challenge is overcome by gathering a team of experienced specialists but we would like to propose an alternate solution: using the ontology based knowledge management system to determine the necessary functionality and configuration of the enterprise information management system based on the user requirements. In this paper we describe the approach for representation of user requirements for such systems as business processes based on the ideas from The Ontology for Linking Processes and IT infrastructure (OLPIT).
Information systems have been developed in parallel with computer science, although information systems have roots in different disciplines including mathematics, engineering, and cybernetics. Research in information systems is by nature very interdisciplinary. As it is evidenced by the chapters in this book, dynamics of information systems has several diverse applications. The book presents the state-of-the-art work on theory and practice relevant to the dynamics of information systems. First, the book covers algorithmic approaches to numerical computations with infinite and infinitesimal numbers. Also the book presents important problems arising in service-oriented systems, such as dynamic composition, analysis of modern service-oriented information systems, and estimation of customer service times on a rail network from GPS data. After that, the book addresses the complexity of the problems arising in stochastic and distributed systems. In addition, the book discusses modulating communication for improving multi-agent learning convergence. Network issues, in particular minimum risk maximum clique problems, vulnerability of sensor networks, influence diffusion, community detection, and link prediction in social network analysis, as well as a comparative analysis of algorithms for transmission network expansion planning are described in subsequent chapters. We thank all the authors and anonymous referees for their advice and expertise in providing valuable contributions, which improved the quality of this book. Process-aware information systems (PAIS) enable developing models for interaction of processes, monitoring accuracy of their execution and checking if they interact with each other properly. PAIS can generate large data logs that contain the information about the interaction of processes in time. Studying PAIS logs with the purpose of data mining and modeling lies within the scope of Process Mining. There is a number of tools developed for Process Mining, including the most ubiquitous ProM, whose functionality is extended by plugins. To perform an object-aware experiment one has to sequentially run multiple plugins. This process becomes extremely time-consuming in the case of large-scale experiments involving a large number of plugins. The paper proposes a concept of DPMine/P language of process modeling and analysis to be implemented in ProM. The language under development aims at joining separate stages of the experiment into a single sequence, that is an experiment model. The implementation of the basic semantics of the language is done through the concept of blocks, ports, connectors and schemes. These items are discussed in detail in the paper, and examples of their use for specific tasks are presented ibid.
Informational systems for supply chain planning - APS (Advanced Planning Systems) are functional extensions of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) for executing integrated supply chain planning. The article surveys functional modules of such APS system as SAP APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer).
The paper examines the structure, governance, and balance sheets of state-controlled banks in Russia, which accounted for over 55 percent of the total assets in the country's banking system in early 2012. The author offers a credible estimate of the size of the country's state banking sector by including banks that are indirectly owned by public organizations. Contrary to some predictions based on the theoretical literature on economic transition, he explains the relatively high profitability and efficiency of Russian state-controlled banks by pointing to their competitive position in such functions as acquisition and disposal of assets on behalf of the government. Also suggested in the paper is a different way of looking at market concentration in Russia (by consolidating the market shares of core state-controlled banks), which produces a picture of a more concentrated market than officially reported. Lastly, one of the author's interesting conclusions is that China provides a better benchmark than the formerly centrally planned economies of Central and Eastern Europe by which to assess the viability of state ownership of banks in Russia and to evaluate the country's banking sector.
The paper examines the principles for the supervision of financial conglomerates proposed by BCBS in the consultative document published in December 2011. Moreover, the article proposes a number of suggestions worked out by the authors within the HSE research team.
