Сравнительный анализ теоретических моделей каскадных, итеративных и гибридных подходов к управлению жизненным циклом ИТ-проекта
The absence of a common and universal approach to IT project management allows us to formulate a problem to analyze and study when choosing the most efficient project management methodology. The relatively small number of scientific works summarizing practical experience of a theoretical approach allowed us to formulate a generalized mathematical model for a common IT project lifecycle estimation in this work using waterfall, agile or hybrid approaches for the project management. Based on the advantages and disadvantages of existing methodologies that we revealed, it appears that use of agile approaches within stages of the cascade methodology approach improves the process of IT project management compared to a pure cascade implementation. Moreover, the recursive application of an iterative approach at certain stages of the project implementation worsens the characteristics of the project life cycle and can be used only to reduce a certain class of project risks. The results of our study allow us to propose a semi-empirical method for project planning estimation accuracy and attainability of the declared project implementation characteristics. All of this should have a positive impact on the effectiveness of the IT project management strategy choice.
The application of the methodology based on Scrum / Agile for the development of software for virtual and augmented reality devices is considered. The basic methodology has been modified taking into account the specifics of the development and application of existing design patterns to virtual reality.
We developed the mechanism and tools of risk controlling in agile projects for companies in information and communication (ICT) industry. The relevance of this topic is underpinned by (1) the growing number of failures of agile projects due to realization of unique set of risks; and (2) the fact that standard agile practices neglect important risk management steps. The paper fills the research gaps in this area and addresses inefficiencies in explicit agile risk management frameworks. The results include the development of the mechanism’s concept and the block diagram for scrum framework. They also include risk controlling tools: risk-based release planning, system of key risk indicators and agile risk controlling effectiveness evaluation tree. Unlike peers mentioned in existing studies the mechanism provides holistic approach to the agile risk management while keeps the spirit of agile. It addresses risk governance issues, ensures integration and coordination of risk management activities both inside the team and across the company and provides for lightweight but efficient tools. The mechanism can be adapted for other agile frameworks and can be applied by scrum masters and project managers in ICT industry as well as by the researches who are interested in further enhancement in agile risk management practices.
The agile project management approach has been considered to be one of the most popular approaches for developing IT solutions. Use of this approach allows us to change the requirements at any stage of the IT project, and one of the twelve principles of Agile Manifesto, – “Simplicity”, – promotes the use of a minimum amount of project documentation. One of the disadvantages limiting the implementation in such resource-intensive projects as Information Systems Projects (ISP) is the risk of exceeding budgets and time limits. Therefore it is highly important to develop such a tool that will contribute in discussion and approval process with the customer before changes are started so as to minimize the possibilities of changes at further stages of the project. This article investigates the possibility of applying holistic methods of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) in order to support solutions design during an Information System Project, in particular, in the form of documentation at the stage before implementation planning. The main aim of our research is to develop a tool that will help the customer to understand the planned changes and will contribute in that their infl uence on the already existing EA is taken into account. This article fi rst reviews standards of IT project management in the context of recommendations for “conceptual project” outcomes. Next, the results of interviews conducted with IT consultants are presented. The proposed Architectural Solution (AS) is a document that completes the stage of design and coordinating IT changes. It is based on the application of methods and models from the fi eld of EA. We believe this solution may be a suffi cient document for coordinating projects that are conducted under agile philosophy.
Following publication is a conceptual article solving the problem of responses to challenges of contemporary education. Contemporary students are often characterized as incapable of holding their attention on the same object for long. Requirements of the labor market are constantly changing, requiring new competencies, skills, work styles from university alumni. Universities have to adopt to these societal changes to remain in demand. The study is aimed at review and analysis of educational approaches created to solve this problem. The approaches reviewed here have a common practice: use of agile methods of project management. Agile is a methodology of flexible project management. Its main specific features are the raise of business’s sensitivity to changes of preferences of consumers and project owners and management of communications with them, ending with perpetual improvement of the end product. Starting in computer software development, agile was quickly adopted by project management and general management on different markets. Yet there has been no such success in transition of agile to education so far. To achieve the stated aim, following methods were used: collection and analysis of scientific publications on agile in education. A part of this analysis was the comparison of conceptually important elements of these approaches to each other and the main ideas expressed in Agile Manifesto. Special attention was given to two of the most discussed approaches: agile teaching-learning methodology (ATLM) and eXtreme Pedagogy (XP). The analysis allowed for characterising the agile approaches as generally uniform and universal, i. e. they can be applied to different disciplines, despite of disciplines being aimed at theoretical or practical preparation of the students. Analysis of the values of different agile educational programs allowed for concluding that methodology can be easily adopted to solving specific educational problems in the universities practically without changing the central ideas expressed in Agile Manifesto. The originality of the data produced in the survey is based on the following characteristics: 1) the comparison of the main agile principles used in the education; 2) conceptual argumentation of possibility of using agile in university environment; 3) preparation of recommendations for the use of the agile at universities. The analysis of educational practices and approaches allowed authors to formulate following practical recommendations for creating new educational programs. First, applied educational practices should correspond to the values of adopted agile methodology. Second, the iterative interaction between the teacher and the student should become a basis of the educational practices. The result of interaction can be in the form of both student knowledge and changes in educational program.

The results generalize to the multidimensional case the one-dimensional results obtained by the author earlier in “Quantitative estimates in the Beurling—Helson theorem”, Sbornik: Mathematics, 201:12 (2010), 1811 – 1836.

One of the most important indicators of company's success is the increase of its value. The article investigates traditional methods of company's value assessment and the evidence that the application of these methods is incorrect in the new stage of economy. So it is necessary to create a new method of valuation based on the new main sources of company's success that is its intellectual capital.
