Search for structure in the $B_s^0\pi^\pm$ invariant mass spectrum
Physical Review Letters. 2016. Vol. 117. No. 15.
The B0sπ± invariant mass distribution is investigated in order to search for possible exotic meson states. The analysis is based on a data sample recorded with the LHCb detector corresponding to 3 fb−1 of pp collision data at s√=7 and 8 TeV. No significant excess is found, and upper limits are set on the production rate of the claimed X(5568) state within the LHCb acceptance. Upper limits are also set as a function of the mass and width of a possible exotic meson decaying to the B0sπ± final state. The same limits also apply to a possible exotic meson decaying through the chain B∗0sπ±, B∗0s→B0sγ where the photon is excluded from the reconstructed decays.

A search for direct CP violation in the Cabibbo-suppressed decay 𝐷+𝑠 → K−K+K+ and in the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay D+ → K−K+K+ is reported. The analysis is performed with data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.6 fb−1. The search is conducted by comparing the 𝐷+(𝑠) and 𝐷−(𝑠) Dalitz-plot distributions through a model-independent ...

A search is performed for heavy Majorana neutrinos (N) decaying into a W boson and a lepton using the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. A signature of two jets and either two same sign electrons or a same sign electron-muon pair is searched for using 19.7 fb−1 of data collected during 2012 in proton-proton collisions ...
