Evaluating organizational change at a multinational transportation corporation: Method and reflections.
The purpose of this perspective on practice is to share my experience conducting an organizational change evaluation using qualitative methodology at a multinational transportation company Global Logistics. I provide a detailed description of the three phase approach to data analysis and my reflections on the process.
Business and IT alignment is currently indicated as most important concern of companies because it is considered as a key concept to ensuring the requirements of a rapidly changing business. The goal of alignment in such circumstances can be defined as an alignment of speed of enterprise's change with speed of environment's change. Alignment model for companies operated in turbulent business environment is proposed here. That model assumes coexistence of two flows of changes: “top-down” flow from business model to operational level and “bottom-up” flow, which adapts organization to minor changes. Model of change that includes three phases (change detection, modeling, and solution implementation) is developed and key factors that determine time of change are discussed. Quantitative parameters, which can help to detect changes, are also proposed
The present paper summarizes a review of the best practices and models of academic development in foreign universities. It is argued that academic development as a domain of professional activity is developed as a response to the three interrelated processes: emergence of the new forms of public management, dissemination of 'entrepreneurial university' conception and life-long learning programs. Possible goals, professionalization problems and organizational models of academic development are elaborated in order to present heterogeneity of this phenomenon. We conclude by highlighting the most promising types of academic development programs which is possible to implement in Russian universities.

The paper focuses on facilitation methods, one of the most rapidly developing areas of applied psychology. A new approach to development of group efficacy based on a range of facilitation techniques and methods is proposed. Facilitation reveals itself as a robust tool of group dynamics improvement. The paper summarizes the rich Western experience of implementing the facilitation technologies and reveals the utility of its application to facilitate organizational and social change in enterprises.

At present many industries reveal tendency for setting up of vertically integrated companies (VIC) the structure of which unites all technological processes. This tendency proved its efficiency in oil industry where coordination of all successive stages of technological process, namely, oil prospecting and production -oil transportation - oil processing - oil chemistry - oil products and oil chemicals marketing, is necessary. The article considers specific features of introduction of "personnel management" module at enterprises of oil and gas industry.
