Об особой роли фразеологизмов в создании языковой картины мира

The article presents the description of the spatial and ethical parameters of the world-image that is reflected in the semantics of phraseological units of Middle and New High German. The article submits the analysis of the phraseological units with such meanings as «native» (Haus), «foreign» (Fremde, Wald, Elend), «boundary space» (Dach, Tür, Tor) and also phraseological units whose semantics reflects the whole mental picture of the society, criticism and condemnation of negative qualities and features of a person, censure of public vices, derision of weaknesses (falsity, pretenсe, hypocrisy, slander, excessive talkativeness, greed, irresoluteness and so on.) and also praise of the virtues, person's strong merits (thrift, prudence, caution, resolution, diligence, industry, loyalty), his willingness to commit kind acts and strictness in childrearing.
