2013. № 11. С. 155-168.
Hannah Arendt did not consider herself a philosopher and was not going to create any general doctrine of man. However, Arendt wrote philosophical works, and she never lost sight of what was going on in the German philosophical anthropology for about half a century. The polemics with philosophical anthropology forms one of the important, albeit implicit themes of her works. She criticized Martin Heidegger, one of her main philosophical mentors, drawing on some arguments that were mostly like those Max Scheler, the founder the German philosophical anthropology, used against Heidegger. The last great work that Arendt did not even prepare to print, her book “The Life of the Mind”, based on her Gifford Lectures. Here, especially in the first

Understanding thinking in Arendt has specific features. Thinking is a form of life of the mind, but one that is akin to "living death." Willing, on the contrary, is realized in the external world, this form of life of the mind, however, characterized by a special, open only relatively late and initially only theologians feature: ...

This paper is dedicated to the analysis of the existential-ontological concept ofH. Plessner. In the paper the thesis that the philosophical anthropology of H. Plessner refutes the existential-ontological substantiation of the whole world-comprehension in the pre-empirical anthropology as the theoretical doctrine of “being-consciousness” is substantiated. According to Plessner, the philosophy of person is impossible without ...

This paper is dedicated to the comparative analysis of existential ontological concepts of M. Heidegger and H. Plessner from the perspective of philosophical anthropology. Unlike Heidegger, whose doctrine of human existence required the analysis of a priori structures of existence to precede the disclosure of the sense of being, Plessner refutes the existential ontological substantiation ...

The article deals with Helmuth Plessner's philosophical and anthropological theory of laughing and crying. The theory implies a hermeneutic study of specific forms of human expressivity, in which the philosopher introduces his view on phenomenology and hermeneutics, known as hermeneutics of nature. Bodily being is at the center of phenomenological description and hermeneutical explanation in Plessner's philosophy: here the immediate emotional experience of the world on the bodily level finds its expression in the theory of laughing and crying, a study of forms of specific human expressivity. ...

Contemporary philosophical anthropology fluctuates
between, on the one hand, the positivist rejection of
the metaphysically loaded concepts of “essence” and
“existence” in their theoretical constructions and, on
the other, the essentialist traditions in which these concepts have played and continue to play a decisive role.
Positivism rejects the ethical component of philosophical anthropology, reducing it to relativism. Essentialism
nourishes the metaphysical ...
